Youth Ministry Is About Raising Up Disciples!
Our main goal as a youth group at Lisbon is to raise up young men and women who know the Lord. We want our students to that “this is eternal life, that they know you the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3).
All students welcome grades 6-12
Our age range for students is from grades 6-12; feel free to invite a friend and come join us for our Wednesday night and Sunday morning gatherings!
Sunday School - 9:30 AM
On Sunday mornings we have Sunday school in the youth room where we usually go through a book of the Bible. Since winter 2022 we have been going through the Gospel of John and will continue that into the spring. We aim for this to be a time of studying the Bible with one another before going upstairs for gathered worship with the rest of the church.
Wednesday Night - 6:30 PM
From 6:30-7:30 PM we meet in the youth room while the adults are in Bible study and the children’s ministry meets together. Wednesday nights is a more laid back feel for our student gatherings where we play games, fellowship with one another, and hang out before starting the Bible lesson. Every first Wednesday of the month we have dinner together to get the month started off on the right foot.
Events
Throughout the year we have various events we do as a youth group, including youth camp, movie nights, game nights, whitewater rafting, service projects, going out to eat, and more. Every March we partner with FAYMA (Fayette Area Youth Ministry Association) for a DNOW that combines youth groups from across Fayette County for a weekend of discipleship.
