New Member Classes are scheduled as follows:

Sunday, April 11* - Class 101 4:00 - 7:30 p.m. This class is to help you "discover" the basics of becoming a member at Lisbon Baptist. Anyone who is interested in joining is encouraged to attend, as are folks who have been members for awhile but have not yet taken the class. Please see Ben Thacker for more details.

Sunday, April 11** - Class 201 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. See Mike Bower for more details.

Discover Lisbon CLASS 101 - 4:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall

Why does LBC exist? What are we trying to do here? What do we believe? What is YOUR part in God's Kingdom? Interested in finding out more about Lisbon? If so, then CLASS 101 is for you! It is a class open to anyone interested in becoming a member of Lisbon, but it is also strongly suggested that ALL current members attend to get the "BIG picture" of what God is up to here in the Lisbon family! You can sign up by calling the church office (770-461-1583). Childcare and supper are provided.

Discovering Maturity CLASS 201 - 4:30-6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall: This may be the most important 90 minutes you spend as a believer! During CLASS 201, you will be exposed to "habits" that will help you move toward maturity as a believer in Christ. If you have ever had those deep thoughts in your heart saying, "there has to be something more to this Christian life than just attending church," then this class is for you! You can sign up by calling the church office (770-461-1583).

GROW Groups Began September 11

Many times the church gets so busy that it loses sight of why it exists. Matthew 28:18-20 indicates we are to reach out to those who have not given their lives to Christ and to help mature the disciples who have. Jesus had an intentional strategy that He used to prepare His men for the task of building the Kingdom. It is our belief that if discipleship is central to God's heart and essential for believers to have life in their daily Christian walk, then we must dedicate structured time towards it. We are trying to intentionally develop passionate followers of Christ through GROW Groups. GROW Groups for adults and D-Groups for Youth meet from 5:45 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. each Sunday evening three weeks a month. The fourth Sunday evening would be for the purpose of building relationship within the group through some form of fellowship, believers worship service, or get-together. Evening worship and children's ministry activities would begin at 5:45 p.m. and finish at 7:15 p.m. CLASSES 101-401 will continue to be offered periodically. Those who are not in a GROW Group will have the evening service available each week. We also hope to have a GROW Group that meets on Wednesday evening for those who are involved in ministry on Sunday nights. The Wednesday schedule includes: Fourth Wednesday night mission activities or churchwide outreach, RA's, GA's, Prayer Meeting, Youth (U-TURN), and elective classes like Crown Financial Ministries or Parenting Classes.
